Hello Brook and many thanks for your answer.ġ. I cannot see anything being constantly sync'ing on the "progress window".Īny idea where to look for solution to this? Anything is very welcome.
OUTLOOK FOR MAC CONSTANTLY UPLOADING NOT RECEIVING MESSAGES IN REAL TIME PC
Please note that on my desktop work PC with Office 2010, this issue is not detected i.e. Nothing changed, issue persists.Ĭould this be an Office 365 glitch? Endless sync'ing on that folder is really annoying and problematic. Repaired permissions of system, just in case.Started with 15.11.2 that I happened to have saved on some drive and updated to 15.14.2. I removed Office 2016 for Mac, re-installed it, the same.Same annoying endless sync of that folder, when everything else is "up to date". I deleted the local Mac Outlook mail profile, rebooted re-created the profile and re-downloaded 13GB (!) of mails, nothing.Checked and removed mails with attachments over 5MB, in that problematic folder, same issue.Renamed that folder, moved all content to other newly created folder, same issue (the one with new name).I think it was accidental to not happen immediately. Perhaps after this "defaults" trick, first-run of Outlook doesn't exhibit it, but if rebooting laptop or putting to sleep, that issue with the folder is repeated-Iĭidn't leave Outlook run too long to see. I deleted via Terminal.app the "defaults" preferences (seen it somewhere here) it still does it.I emptied the cache of that specific folder (under Inbox) so it forces to re-sync from scratch nothing.I checked that specific folder permissions, they are the same as other folders under the INBOX tree of the Office365 account (checked permissions both on PC's Outlook 2010 and Mac Outlook 2016).Setting Outlook for Mac 2016 to "Offline" then back to "Online" after e.g.I have thoroughly searched here for a reply, nothing of the tips posted worked: Updated to 15.14.2 just earlier, to no avail. I cannot find the root cause, I have updated to later version 15.12.3, then to 15.13.1 and now at 15.14.0 but that persists! Even The bandwidth consumed goes up to 1.7Mbit/s! a week, so once all other folders end synchronizing, this one starts and keeps appearing on the sync list like mad.

This is more evident if I haven't sync'ed my Mac for e.g. I always have the Sync Status small window visible, even behind Outlook once all folders are in sync, that specific line/folder keeps popping (despite sync'ed OK) twice per second, saying "Account XYZ / Folder XYZ: Downloading 0/1". I only have 1 account in the setup, that's the O365 account. The system language is English (Primary) as it was installedĮverything seems to work normally (or, as expected) except the fact that there is one specific folder inside INBOX tree (of Office365, nothing locally on my Mac) that keeps synchronizing constantly and endlessly, consuming battery on the laptop and all bandwith

I have an Office365 corporate account and have used it for Office 2016 apps accordingly. I am using Office 2016 on my Mac (now running OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite) since Office release 15.11.2 to the public. Hello to Microsoft MVPs and forum members,
